Introduction to filters

Filters allow you to select a more specific range of data and work in a very similar way throughout the various pulse office modules.

In this example we will create a filter to select sales orders from within a certain date range.

  • Click Filter.
  • Enter a name for the new filter you would like to create and press enter. Click yes when asked to confirm you want to create a new filter.
  • Use the fields provided to select your filter criteria.
  • When you are happy with your selections click Use Filter.
  • Click Yes when asked to confirm you want to save the filter.
  • You will be redirected to the current module, which is now displaying your filtered data.
  • This filter is now also available in the reports and print sub menus of the current module.

Deleting expired price lists

  • You should only be deleting price files with an expiry date that is before your last archive date.
  • Any item that has been used on a sales order, delivery note, purchase order, quote or contract price will not be deleted.

Creating an online customer account

For an account to transfer from pulse office to PulseStore, they must have all of the following:

  • A contact who is ticked as a web contact and has a valid email address.
  • A value in the web credit limit field.
  • Be assigned to at least one current web price list.
  • Be ticked as a web account.

Creating invoices from delivery notes

  • Click orders.
  • Click create notes.
  • The default filter in create notes is Todays orders. If you want notes from other dates click filter and choose a relevant filter.
  • Once you can see your delivery notes, you can either select all of them by clicking the select all button or select individual ones by clicking on the grey square to the left of the delivery note number.
  • Once you have selected the notes you require click Create Notes.
  • Before a delivery note can be invoiced it must be confirmed, thereby marking the note as received by the customer and so freeing it to be invoiced.
  • Once you are back in the Orders module click confirm.
  • In the same way you did in create notes you can select various or all delivery notes.
  • Once you have selected your delivery notes click confirm.
  • Your notes are now ready to invoice, so close the orders window and click invoicing.
  • Click Dn->Inv.
  • The default filter in this section is for delivery notes for invoice type "single". If you have customers who use a different invoice type use the filter button to select a different invoice type.
  • Once you have your delivery notes selected click Create Invoices.
  • You will now be prompted for tax point date which defaults to todays date. Should you require a different date just type it into the date field and click either create or print.

Amending contract pricing in bulk

  • Click customers.
  • Open a customer account either via details or by double clicking on the relevant account.
  • Click the contract prices tab.
  • Select your contracts either by holding the Ctrl key and clicking on them or using the select all button at the bottom of the window.
  • Click change.
  • In the new window select the type of contracts you wish to change, and the amount or percentage you want to change them by.
  • Click change.

Adding YouTube™ videos to PulseStore

  • Click Settings.
  • Click New Template Pages.
  • Select the page you want to edit.
  • Either select an existing section or using the drop down menu insert a new one.
  • The YouTube™ widget is available on the Banner and widget, five Widgets, four widgets, three widgets and three widgets left products right options.
  • Enter the URL for the video required in the YouTube™ URL field.
  • Amend any appearance settings you need.
  • Click Save.

Uploading banners and logos to PulseStore

  • Click Content.
  • Click File Manager.
  • Select either the logos or banners folder.
  • Click the upload icon in the top left corner of the window.
  • Either drag and drop the image to be uploaded, or click the upload window to open a file browser which you can use to select your image.
  • Click return to files list.

Adding banners to PulseStore

  • Click Settings.
  • Click New Template Pages.
  • Select the page you want to edit.
  • Select either banner or banner with text from the dropdown menu.
  • Click add component here.
  • Click show.
  • Click select image.
  • Select the desired image.
  • If using banner with text enter the text to be imposed on the banner in the Image title field.
  • If you want to the banner to be a clickable link enter the destination URL in the Image URL field.
  • Repeat for other required images.
  • If you have selected multiple banners you can select either slide, fade or none from the effect menu and specify a delay time in seconds in the field labelled delay.
  • Append any appearance settings you require.

Adding text banners to PulseStore

  • Click Settings.
  • Click New Template Pages.
  • Select the page you want to edit.
  • Select text banner line from the dropdown menu.
  • Click add component here.
  • Enter the desired text into the field labelled Title, select any styling changes required.
  • Click save.
